2027 Application Cycle

Advising scholarship application closes April 30, 2027

BFE College Advising Scholarship — 2027

General or Visual and performing arts college advising for students who are first-generation college applicants, have demonstrated financial need, and/or come from historically underrepresented communities.

Each year, Best Fit Education awards one comprehensive advising scholarship and two intensive plan scholarships (5-10 hours), valued from $1,500 to $7,000. Award amounts are set on a sliding scale based on each family's circumstances. Recipients receive school list building, essay guidance, application and deadline management, along with portfolio and audition preparation as needed.

Who should apply

  • High school students planning to major in a visual or performing art (film, photography, animation, game design, music, composition, acting, theatre tech)

  • Students with financial need, first-generation college applicants, and students from historically underrepresented communities

  • Students who will apply to college in fall/winter 2027 for enrollment in Fall 2028

How selection works

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply early. Within two weeks of submitting, you'll hear whether you've been selected for a short interview. Finalists will also be asked to share proof of financial need.

The final deadline is April 30, 2027, and all recipients will be notified by May 15, 2027. The application will close once all scholarships have been awarded, which may be before April 30.

Plan on about 20–25 minutes to complete the application. Thoughtful answers matter more than polished ones.
